Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Spot Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday rose 0.64 per cent to Rs 834.85 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for December delivery climbed Rs 5.30 or 0.64 per cent to Rs 834.85 per kg in a business turnover of 5,380 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
New Delhi, Dec 12 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday rose 60 paise to Rs 245.35 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December increased 60 paise or 0.25 per cent to Rs 245.35 per kg in 2,971 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
